Magazine Makeover:Tyler
* To get this style we did pull out the BLOW-DRYER I knew this was something he wasn't going to do himself, but I just had to see what COULD BE... Most men are not willing to spend a ton of time on their hair. As a stylist always inform your clients that if they want this particular style it will require extra styling time. As a client, remember when looking for a new style to pick something that will fit your morning routine.
*I am still talking him into the beard-goatee-whatever you call what the guy has in the above picture.

Friday Night Favorite: Bangs
So if any of you lovely ladies are anything like me you have caught your hair on fire AT LEAST once....whether it was lighting the BBQ or playing with rubber cement and matches we've all done it. What you decide to do with the lemons life just handed you makes all the difference. I personally made chocolate milk because I don't care for lemonade.... I turned all that seared and smelly hair into bangs and you should too! Bangs are are great way to show your personality and make a big statement. And let's get real, I am one of few who have had to cut bangs to cover up a piece of BBQ chicken gone wrong. You don't have to be accident prone to rock this look!
Heavy, blunt bangs like mine and Zoey Deschanel's are a more daring look, but so much fun and so right
now!

If you are new to bangs, try easing into them with some cheekbone or chin length layers to get you used to have shorter hair around your face like Kim K.
Bangs are a fun way to spice up your look, don't be afraid to try them out! There are so many ways to wear them, so find which style works for you and then work it girl!

Tutorial: Halo Twist Braids
This tutorial was inspired by my weekend vacation to Las Vegas. We just went down for a couple days and sadly it wasn't long enough. We wished we could have stayed longer. We took these pictures on Saturday and you will see me sporting the LOVELY Halo Twist Braids. I LOVE THIS LOOK. I think it is PERFECT for second day hair. I didn't even curl my hair again. I used my wonderful bedhead to an advantage. The day before I did wrap around curls on my 1 1/4 inch curling iron. This is my hair the next day not washed not curled not even brushed out. The trick to doing this with second day hair is not brushing. Let bedhead help you here. You may need to randomly wrap curl pieces that are kinky or have straightened from your nights sleep, but if your lucky like I was you may not need to.

Style Love: EMERALD
Emerald is this year's color and I am so glad it is! Emerald is easy to wear because it is flattering on EVERYONE! This beautiful shade of green is everywhere from the red carpet to the runway...

BUT the great thing about this trend is that you don't have to be a super model or an actress to pull it off. You can ease into the trend by trying jewelry or other accessories in emerald tones.
I found these really cute earrings at Target and they were on sale!
If you're feeling a little more bold go for an emerald top
OR try wearing the amazing shade from head to toe in a fun, flirty and/or sexy dress! You know what they say, what happens in Emerald city stays in Emerald city.

Reconstructor
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Give your hair new life and vitality instantly! Our instant Reconstructor features low molecular weight keratin amino acids (90-10mw) that penetrate and repair weak, over-processed hair. Eliminates frizz helps prolong your hair color without weighing it down.
USAGE TIP
Must be applied to clean hair. For best results, comb or brush this product through the hair before rinsing. Give your hair the moisture and conditioning it craves.
If you do not own a RECONSTRUCTING CONDITIONER, you should. This is a product EVERYONE should own, especially if you color your hair or use hot tools on your hair regularly. I always suggest using this product before and after your color service, and about every 2 weeks or more if your hair is badly damaged. Basically your hair is made up of protein and when you color and blow dry, flat iron etc it loses some of that protein. This conditioner will give your hair back protein and make it stronger.
I love the Enjoy brand, because my hair is not only stronger, but it feels soft and moisturized also. Other brands I have tried do not moisturize enough and I end up applying my regular conditioner after the Reconstructor to give my hair moisture. If you purchase a Reconstructing Conditioner and find this as a problem no biggie, you will just need to use your regular conditioner after you have applied and rinsed the Reconstructor.
Add a Reconstructing Conditioner to your next shopping list.
Your hair will THANK YOU!

Magazine Makeover: Brittany
This is my beautiful friend Brittany. We have been cutting her hair in a textured bob and it looks so great on her. Brittany has awesome hair and a fun personality so she is always trying new things with her hair (which I love!). After wearing her hair in this style for a few months she was ready for a change. We both LOVE Michelle Williams most recent haircut and used it to inspire Brittany's new look.
Britt also wanted to be totally blonde to complete her new look. We both love it!
